Terms of Service - Instagram Checker

These Terms govern your use of the namelot Instagram username checker (the "Instagram Checker"), part of the namelot username tools owned and operated by namelot. By using the Instagram Checker you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Instagram Checker does

The Instagram Checker asks Instagram's public web profile API about usernames you provide and reports whether each username is taken (with public profile details such as display name, follower count and post count) or available. Instagram allows only a small number of anonymous checks per network address per time window, so larger runs pause and cool down automatically when throttled. The Checker also offers an Infinite mode that keeps generating and checking names until you stop it. It never creates, modifies, or logs into Instagram accounts and never asks for your Instagram credentials.

2. Acceptable use

• Use the Instagram Checker only for its intended purpose: checking username availability.
• Do not attempt to overload, abuse, or disrupt the Checker or the third-party services it relies on.
• Do not use the Checker to harass, impersonate, or harm anyone.
• You are responsible for complying with Instagram's own terms of use when registering or changing any username.

3. Your optional integrations

If you configure web proxy relays, a Discord webhook, or a Telegram bot in Settings, those integrations run at your direction: your browser or our worker contacts the services you chose, using the addresses and credentials you entered. You are responsible for having the right to use them.

4. No warranty

The Instagram Checker is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Availability results depend on third-party systems and may be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. We do not guarantee that any username shown as available can actually be registered.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, namelot is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Instagram Checker, including decisions made based on availability results.

6. Third-party services

The Checker relies on publicly accessible pages and endpoints operated by Instagram, LLC (part of Meta Platforms, Inc.) and other third parties (such as random.org and community proxy services), plus Discord's and Telegram's APIs when you configure alerts. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their behavior or availability.

7. Intellectual property

The Instagram Checker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram Pte. Ltd. "Instagram" is a trademark of Instagram, LLC.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted with a new "Last updated" date.
