This disclaimer applies to the namelot Instagram username checker (the "Instagram Checker"), owned by namelot.

1. Not affiliated with Instagram

The Instagram Checker is an independent, free tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected to Instagram Pte. Ltd. "Instagram" is a trademark of Instagram, LLC.

2. Accuracy of results

• Availability results come from Instagram's public web profile API: a 404 answer means no public profile exists, a 200 answer returns the profile. A name that could not be verified is reported as unverified, not available.
• Instagram limits anonymous checks per network address, so results can be delayed or unavailable during cool-down windows; the checker says so instead of guessing.
• Profile details such as follower and post counts come from the API and may lag behind Instagram's own numbers.
• Handles held by banned, deactivated or reserved accounts, and handles inside Instagram's 14-day rename hold, have no public profile, so they can appear available in any public check while Instagram still rejects them at signup. Always confirm on Instagram itself before registering.
• Results describe the moment of the check. A username shown as available may be registered by someone else seconds later, so always re-check before registering.

3. Generated names

Randomly generated username suggestions may still violate Instagram's username rules or community standards. Instagram makes the final decision on what is acceptable on its platform.

4. No account services

The Instagram Checker does not create, modify, access, or recover Instagram accounts, and never requests Instagram credentials.

5. Continuous modes and background operation

Continuous modes keep running while the tab stays open, helped by a nearly silent background audio stream that keeps the tab active. Your device, browser, or operating system may still close or sleep the tab; the site tries to resume the run when you return, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation.
